Restore Youth. Enhance Vision. Rejuvenate Your Eyes.
Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to improve the appearance or function of the eyelids. It involves the removal or repositioning of excess skin, fat, and muscle from the upper and/or lower eyelids. This surgery not only refreshes tired, aging eyes but can also correct visual obstruction caused by drooping eyelids.
Performed by Dr. Richie Gupta, an experienced cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon, blepharoplasty is tailored to deliver natural-looking, youthful results with minimal scarring and downtime.

Xanthelasma (fat deposits near the inner corner of the eyes)

- Incision PlacementFor upper eyelid surgery, the incision is made along the natural crease of the eyelid, allowing scars to remain virtually invisible after healing. For lower eyelid surgery, the incision is made either just below the lower lash line (subciliary) or inside the eyelid (transconjunctival approach) for patients with fat bulges but no excess skin.
- Tissue Removal or RepositioningExcess skin, muscle, and fat are carefully removed or repositioned. In some cases, fat is redistributed to smooth out puffiness and reduce hollow areas. If needed, muscle tightening or correction of drooping eyelids (ptosis repair) is also performed during the same session.
- ClosureThe incisions are closed with very fine sutures, usually absorbable or removed within 5–7 days. Sutures are placed in a way that ensures minimal scarring and optimal healing.
- RecoveryMild swelling, bruising, and discomfort are common in the first few days. Cold compresses and prescribed medications help ease recovery. Most patients return to light activities within 3–5 days and resume normal routines within 7–10 days. Full results become more visible over the next few weeks as swelling subsides.
- ResultThe final outcome is a more refreshed, youthful appearance, with smoother eyelids and improved eye contour. In functional cases, patients also experience better peripheral vision.
