Aligning Body with Identity. Empowering Lives with Confidence.
Gender Affirmation Surgery (GAS)—also known as Sex Reassignment Surgery (SRS) or Gender Confirmation Surgery—includes a group of surgical procedures designed to help transgender individuals align their physical appearance and anatomy with their gender identity. These procedures can be a vital step in the journey toward gender congruence, self-acceptance, and improved quality of life.
At the practice of Dr. Richie Gupta, we are proud to offer comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based care for individuals undergoing gender transition. With over two decades of surgical experience and a deep understanding of both aesthetic and reconstructive principles, Dr. Gupta performs gender affirmation surgeries with respect, privacy, and personalized care at every step.
Who is Gender Affirmation Surgery for?
These surgeries are intended for transgender and non-binary individuals who:
Have a diagnosis of gender dysphoria
Have undergone psychological evaluation and counseling
Have completed an appropriate period of hormone therapy (as per WPATH guidelines)
Are seeking to surgically modify primary and/or secondary sexual characteristics to align with their gender identity
Gender affirmation is more than surgery
Every patient receives a comprehensive treatment plan that is aligned with the latest international standards (e.g., WPATH Standards of Care).
